Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

❀Fleamarket Treasures❀

This week is almost thru and I have not yet shown my treasures from last weekend: a quite large platter with a forget-me-nots brim in red, a superlarge handcrocheted plaid in dusty pink and a wooden box which is really shabby; I found a newspaper in it from 1961. I found some more artefacts, but these are the most intresting ones - hope you enjoy them, too!!!!?

• No Cancer Talk, but Party •

Yesterday there was NO talk about cancer and all the negative issues that go with it - yesterday was Party Time. It was a 70th birthday we had to celebrate!

It was Willi's birthday; he has cancer, too, but no talk about that yestrday. Everybody was feeling fine and enjoyed the evening!

Here's the little speach of Willi's only son!

Party was held in an old pub. Hubby KH's son and grandchildren sang and played drums and piano. They are Willi's nephew and grandnephews. They are very much into music and did a very good job!!!

Here is Hubby KH and his grandson behind his drums. This little guy is already perfect - incredible. Although I don't officially belong to this family anymore, I was invited and had a good time...

* Stunning, Touching Pix *

Iceland Ponies are very popular here, too, and we have many around! They are safe, even though you can see that there was a smeary ashfall on my car recently! I always had to think about the many horses and sheep living around the Eyjafjallajökull on Iceland in the direct ashfall; there definitely are some touching destinies...

Life came back to almost normal overhere on the continent while Mother Earth is still showing us her might and strength thru the crater of the volcano under the EyjaIslandfjallaMountainjökullGlacier; an at first sight obviously exotic name that finally isn't so strange...

...the most stunning, fascinating, touching photos from Iceland you can find here www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/04/more_from_eyjafjallajokull.html don't miss out!!! They make you feel small and reverential....have a lovely Sunday!

`Triangle Hat´

Have been sick, so sick this past week; only feel better since yesterday. Hubby and I had fish together last Saturday. Maybe that was the reason! I don't know...Hubby was sick upon his 6th chemo and he survived better then me :))) Can you imagine?
I am all puzzled up, am not sure if I already showed this finally finished hat!?!! The top is made of three triangles knit in natural Baby Alpaca and the edge is a supersoft stringlike linnen yarn, very special...

Hat's top! ~~

Since this morning I am the proud owner of some skeins of 100% Todd and Duncan, Scotland, Cashmere. Found them in my mailbox today; they finally came over from the British Isles through the ashclouds.....
you all have a fantastic weekend now - seems we will get a sunny but cold one! Enjoy!!!

Next winter will surely come!

It is a bright sunny day here today, but I am sick! I am almost flat in bed. I am not sure what is wrong with me....slowly, very slowly I am a little better now in the late afternoon... I try to be active again and probably this post will help a bit to get up again....some days ago I completed this scarf. It is so nice and soft; knitted out of Cumba from GGH and it has a lovely soft change of colouring; different tones of a pretty dusty pink. I also embroidered an edge of matching small pearls at the ends.
Have a nice new week!!!

* Nature Affairs *

This shrimp I found somewhere in the www; I think it is so nice and welldone that I just had to show it - besides, my little Hexe loves them. She could eat those small Northsea Shrimps all day, every day! Here you see her on the most important piece of furniture in the house: her climbing- and scratching tree! She looks a little odd on this photo though; just beginning loosing her wintercoat! By the way I hang out the brushed off hairs from the pets, the birds take them thankfully and use them for their nests they start to build now...

Here you see the recent ashcloud card approaching Europe from the Eyjafjalla Glacier on Iceland. We are right under the darkest part now. The sun shines this morning, but it is somehow gloomy, too. The sun shines through a veil; I am not sure if it comes from the ashes, but I think so...early this morning the sky was all pink, too. The news are all about ICELAND here! Thanx to lovely Harpa who lives very close to the eruption, here are some links where you can see more of it, even live: http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-valahnjuk and www.dmu.dk/nyheder/vulkansky.htm. Have a try, hope it works. It is very quiet out today! No planes, no noises....I grew up in the entry lane of Hamburg airport, so planes were always an addition to my life. Now I live only about 30 km away from the airport and I still can see and hear them - usually! Today is the first day ever with no movement in the sky! Strange! I wonder how long this will go on....to all of you: have a really great weekend!!

•❀• Skatter •❀•

Here are some of my today's fleamarket treasures: you know I love pressed glas items, so I sure couldn't resist this small milk jar. Isn't it just lovely?

Further I found this bowl! I still have an Amaryllis bulb that starts coming out and wants to get planted. So I thought this bowl will be just right; and as I love green - its somewhat perfect. There is also an old enamel beaker, which I think is real cute, too.

This wool is not a todays find, just some special wool I wanted to show you. It feels super soft and the colours are just great in reality.

Almost 3 Months of Grace!

I hope you all had a great Easter? Ours was just fine! I even got a present from (ex)-hubby: he painted a portrait of Hexe and me. That was really amazing!
He is now having almost 3 months of grace! His cancer is fatal, but not yet...he is fighting and it seems the main tumour gave up growing and spreading...

I still have some more original Lana Grossa Baby Mohair out for sale in spring green, emerald and cinnamon in 25 gr skeins with 100 meters. Anyone intrested? All colours are real lovely!

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Happy Easter Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

...to all out there in Bloglandia! It has been a little quiet inhere recently, but I hope I will soon be back with more and better news then before...
