Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

Foto Safari #12

It's been a long time since I made the last post to www.petuniablogg.blogspot.com Fotosafari! But today is the day!
Beautiful Lilacs are blooming all around now, in different colours. Today they get some rain, what is really necessary. It has been the warmest April ever and the rain was well appreciated. It is definitely really cool today.... enjoy!

Ready, steady ... Hat!

Do you remember the different parts of this hat I showed in an earlier post? Well, finally yesterday it was done! I am really pleased with the result. Just love this top and will do this little rosebuds again somewhere - definitely. The Rauma yarn used for the top is still from Seljord in Norway and gives me a fine remembrance to happy days there. Also it has a perfect texture for this kind of top and for the embroidery. The Horstia Lambswool is an ideal yarn to create petals.
On the needles are wristwarmers again now! I still had rests of natural sheep lightgray and a heather green of Lett Lopi - still my very fave yarn!!! It is easy on the needles and always looks perfect. When they are done, they will be felted and probably get little roses, too.

A lovely new week to all of you out in Bloglandia! Y

Petals flying thru the Air like Snowflakes * * *

I see Pink, definitely! The world around me is just Pink! And pink petals start to fly thru the air like snowflakes; what a pity that soon this splendour will be over again....
Wish I could be a good crocheter! Aren't these cute?!!!

Pink Buttercups and treeblossoms..... enjoy your Sunday!!!

:: New Buddy ::

Gizmo has a new buddy: Balou! He is so cute!!! His family moved in next to us and the dogs became friends from the very moment they first met. Balou makes funny noises and is a very friendly dog, looks a little deformed and is quite small, still he is a pretty guy. He was born wild and also saved out a killing-station in Spain by his people. So many dogs and a few cats live uphere that originally come from southern countries in Europe. There dogs are not really welcome and wanted and often get killed in a very cruel way. So it is good to present a happy-end-story here! See Gizmo's large nose compared to Balou..... Y

✿ A little Anniversary ✿

Yes, I am having a little Anniversary! This is already my 151 post; can't believe it, over 150 posts...!!! Incredible!
And today I can show off only some little flower tendrils, a bit like Forgetmenots - maybe?!!!
It was indoor weather today, suddenly, after all the lovely summerlike sunshine we had recently. I turned the heating on again and went out with my thick anoraq; it was more then necessary. Was also quite stormy! We are already spoiled after these few sunny days and it feels much colder then it probably is. Hexe don't minds the weather, she is always wearing her beautiful furcoat....

~ NestCam ~

Accidently I found this webcam: directly from a storchnest! Wonder if they know that their privatlife is so directly documented? And if they knew what would they think about it?
Well, for us humans it is real intresting and what an idea to have a webcam next to a nest!
You can follow yourself at www.stoerche-bw.de! Beautiful snapshots constantly and some useful infos come along too! Y

~ Hat Head ~

Do you remember the hat I showed recently, the one with changing colours, a little fairisle-like? The top was still missing! And yesterday I finally had time to finish it. So what I call the hat's head was made of Rauma yarn I still bought in Seljord in Norway. I love the kiwi green colour and it matches perfect to the rest; the roses are embroidered of rests I had of Noro Kureyon and Lambswool.... hopefully I will have time still today to sew it to the hat itself. Sure, will show the completed hat immediately!!!
Apropos roses, flowers and blooming in generell; the trees are in full blossom here and the pink and white leaves start to sail thru the air like snowflakes. What ashame that this beautiful time of year will be over in a few days again! Soon the trees will be green and the blossoms will very slowly grow into fruits... that's why I changed my header into a pic from Norway; the first cruise ship of the season already arrived in Eidfjord. Wish I could be there too, now....
enjoy your Sunday!

~ Cups ~

I am inspired by Birgit Wolltrunken' Cup-parade; so here are a few from my side as well! I show them, because they are special - at least to me.... the big London mug I bought there while the Queen had her Silver Crown Anniversary and whilst I was living in England! You know self that this is a loooong time ago. In the meantime she had her Golden. Anyway, I used this cup every day and always and loved it. It is now too old to be still in use and is retired on the shelf, but still holding some small kitchen items.
And these two beauties are Helga Wandtke Design, handmade by her! Helga and I became friends many years ago. We often exhibited together. I am so glad I still have a few things made by her; she had to go some time ago and probably keeps on producing her articles in heaven - I miss you! Y

✿ Still Summer ✿✿

This is my official Easter snap of town, quite romantic, eh?!! Yes, we had a fantastic and unexpected peaceful and harmonic Easter. It seems, I slowly get back into life and out of a very dark time I have been thru recently......
I hope all my friends will understand that the passed months were not easy and hard for me and I neglected all and everything; it can only get better....
See this poor dog of mine! Looks like he is the most neglected dog in the world with no love and attention, no food and no fun..... ugh! He can give you a look of deepest melancholy.
In fact, he was bitten into his right leg last week and it definitely hurt him. But it is all better again today, so no need to put on such a sad face....

Sure Springmitts are ready now! We expect cooler weather again, so probably they will come in use still. Today it is fantastic sunny and warm, but this will not last! Trees are in full blossom and swallows already arrived and sail in the sky; a month too early, normally they arrive only around end of April. The first couple I saw already end of March... but, how lovely is this?!!!

* Suddenly Summer *

Last week we still had frosty nights, now Summer is here!!! We enjoy some real lovely days over Easter with bright sun and +25°C. All the trees are blooming, as you can see in my new header and here.... photo was made yesterday.... isn't this just lovely!!!?
I also received some real super Easter pressies: this beautiful handmade rose soap, a pair of Jack Wolfskin Trekking shoes and a matching Trekking Anoraq. This was a real big surpise!!!
And I got myself a present as well: two new GEO mags, which I love a lot (as long as they have regard on ancient history and geography)!
Wishing you all a lovely second Easter Day!!!

* Winter go Home *

Almost Easter! Accidently I came across several frogs recently; specially like this Frogking! Maybe I should start to seriously collect them?! The flowers are blooming and we had some real fine days with over +20°C suddenly. All windows wide open I let the Spring breeze wave into my home... ... this photo was made only a short time back. See the black and white snow still clinging to some areas! But isn't it almost artistic, those last creations of winter? Now, after the lovely T-Shirt-weather-days it is gone and will probably not come back! See some of the many Bronce Age Barrows in the back of this field!

Blue is not my colour, but Pearlhyacinths and Forgetmenot's are quite my fave flowers!
My cutie Hexe av Skien also enjoys sitting in the sun! It's been long since I posted my last pic of her, so here's a brandnew one! Sitting next to one of my stone-pictures, a wooden plate with grinded and polished gems from Norway!
I also love moose! See two carved ones in the back! Aren't they nice?! Have a nice new week!
