♥It has been a little quiet inside here recently, but today I would like to share this cute items with you! There has been a small lifestyle exhibition by the lake over Pentecost and this here was my fave booth: Danish design from GG and others and I just loved this very old trailer used at a part of the booth. Weatherwise it was quite ok for some time; it looks a bit like summer somehow on these pix; but it is still too cool. See the Lab pups playing when you look out the trailers window! Nevertheless, strawberry time started for me - I had this heartshaped one in my basket the other day, cute isn't it!!? ♥

~.*.~ Tousled ~.*.~

Tomorrow is National Day in Norway - although this beautiful country has been a home for us so long, Hexe av Skien is the only real Norwegian in the family; wish I could be there tomorrow - toppers feiring alle sammen!

Recently I finished this hat! It is made out of 4 triangles; used yarn is a silky tweed, yes, real silk....then I crocheted along the edges, with a natural coloured Baby Alpaca wool, of all 4 pieces and put them together. It is very soft and warm; quite a noble item after all...

This is me looking quite tousled! It has been sunny most of the day, but it was sooooo windy. Doggy nd I went thru the forest. The wind was not too bad inthere, but still.....I am tousled and torn. It is not real warm outside yet, although it should be! We have May!!!! Instead I finished another neckwarmer. And it was comfortable to wear. I even made it tighter with a rhinestone brooch, but it is actually not necessary to do so. The yarn used is GGH Cumba in silvergray, an Alpaca mix yarn! Very nice and soft! And nice change of dark and lighter silver...

* New Lives * New Challanges *

Last week finally the yarn from the Faroe Isles arrived thru the ashclouds of Eyjafjallajökull. As expected, it is sooooo beautiful! And it went right over to a yarn shop; all the ladies there were thrilled, too! This yarn can be used in 1 ply, 2 or 3 or 4 or even 6 and you can also mix the colours real well as they still have a very natural attitude. Further I tried a bit of felting, knitted a small piece and washed it in just hot water. Result was much better then felting in the machine; I got a lovely soft and durable woollen texture with still its Lanolin. It is waterresistent and it will even get softer while wearing. Shrinking was not much, maybe around only 10%...

It is May and newborns are everywhere! Yesterday I saw these Shetland Ponies and I had to take some photos. Aren't they cute? The foals are not much bigger then toy animals....despite of this and the blooming trees and flowers it is not very much like May. Actually the most beautiful month of the year uphere it is all gray and nasty and very cold this year...so far! I was out with winterclothes incl. hat and gloves....

All winter I had some millet umbels haging out for the birds and they ignored it, just took all the other food I offered. Suddenly, especially the sparrows are real wild about the millet. Now that breeding season begins for them it seems they want to take up some extra energy. The males are the most eager ones and when the chicks are about to be out of the nest, they are very diligent in caring for them; a real joy to watch them!

❀Happy May Day and Spool Knitting Dollies ❀

A few days ago I could not resist and had to bid on those spool knitting dolls and toadstools - and I won! Now they arrived and I am really glad to have them here. All are obviously used and quite old, but this makes them even more intresting...❀~

To all of you out there: have a very Happy May Day! It is a free day here and the sun shines, so all is fine; today starts the most beautiful month of the year. ❀~

❀Fleamarket Treasures❀

This week is almost thru and I have not yet shown my treasures from last weekend: a quite large platter with a forget-me-nots brim in red, a superlarge handcrocheted plaid in dusty pink and a wooden box which is really shabby; I found a newspaper in it from 1961. I found some more artefacts, but these are the most intresting ones - hope you enjoy them, too!!!!?

• No Cancer Talk, but Party •

Yesterday there was NO talk about cancer and all the negative issues that go with it - yesterday was Party Time. It was a 70th birthday we had to celebrate!

It was Willi's birthday; he has cancer, too, but no talk about that yestrday. Everybody was feeling fine and enjoyed the evening!

Here's the little speach of Willi's only son!

Party was held in an old pub. Hubby KH's son and grandchildren sang and played drums and piano. They are Willi's nephew and grandnephews. They are very much into music and did a very good job!!!

Here is Hubby KH and his grandson behind his drums. This little guy is already perfect - incredible. Although I don't officially belong to this family anymore, I was invited and had a good time...
