~ ♥ ~ A Glimpse of Spring ~ ♥ ~
 Wishing you all a very nice weekend!!See what was in my POB: this lovely crocheted button of Springflowers made by a Turkish Lady, living in Southern Germany, who is very skilled. Isn't it cute? It sure gives a first glimpse of Spring in this awful dark and stormy weather we have back now. Kamuran, thanx so much for your nice work...... ~ ♥ ~

•~♥~• My Pets •~♥~•
Great weather today, but no friends to play with around, so Gizmo found himself a part of a tree.... while Hexe enjoys just a little game on her raised hide, she rather rests in the sun, I suppose....enjoy and all have a nice day! •~♥~•

Are you tagged? And Obamania!
As I am quite related to the US (and Canada) I surely followed the finding of a new President and I am most pleased with the outcome! Here in Germany, and I guess all of Europe, there is a big hype, a real Obamania already since long, at the latest since his speach in Berlin!The guy will do it, he is clever and young and fit and he represents the entire world in one person. I suppose this makes his charisma! He is not white nor is he black, he knows living in southeastern Asia and on Pacific Islands. He also has family near Stuttgart, Germany, and believe me, he looks German somehow....and what a lovely First Lady this country has now! This is all new, fresh and clever....Good Luck for the Years to come!!!

TAGGED!!! ... and a new Hat!
From lovely Shelley of Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada, I got tagged! This is fun, to go thru years old files again....here is my pic from the 6th file, the 6th pic...a photo I really love to share with you all. It was made some time ago in happy days, still in Norway. It was made in the wonderful scenery of the potholes or kettle basins, or whatever you want to call them, in Eikhom. This beautiful carved rocks were created by icy water and very fine sand between glacier and stone during the last Iced Age about 10.000 years ago. Back in the days this pic was shot, the kids and I were there almost alone as you can see. In the meantime it is always crowded in summer with hundreds of families trying to bath and relax in this sort of natural swimming and recreation area. Still, it is a very special area ... ll Montag, 19. Januar 2009

* Greenland Mitts *
 I had still some wool left from this seagreen Shetland yarn (one of my fave colours), so another pair of cuffs were knitted and felted. This yarn can good use a 60°C in the machine. The beads that make the * snowflakes *** are slightly opalizing, so give a nice extra frosty effect. I just love those small cuffs which can be used as bracelets too. They are warm enough for me and comfortable are they....just perfect! It is just weather to work inside. Still very wet and foggy; you can't see a thing outside. It gives a little depressing effect, but here in the land between two oceans you always have to reckon with bad weather! +4°C makes you shiver and feel like -14°C ... I uploaded some fogpix to my Google Earth account though, as I think they give a special mood. You can look at www.panoramio.com/user/2618108. Enjoy!!

★ Vintage Rose Hat ★

A new hat is done! I call it Vintage Rose Hat as it definitely has a little shabby look. It was made out of original Lopi from Iceland, the brown edge, and another Iceland yarn, the green. The green yarn though looks a bit like frottee after felting, while the brown Lopi is perfectly felted. The rose tendrils are crocheted out of very fine cotton thread. I am pleased with the result and wish you all a perfect weekend!

P E B B L E S
 Some time ago I have been in Denmark, Westcoast, North Sea Coast! The enormous large beach is covered with millions of beautiful, mostly flat grinded pebbles. The strong waves roll them on and off the beach and the water; this is a perfect grinder. The stones feel like velvet and you can find all from quartz to porphyr - just great. Dienstag, 6. ♥.♥ Without You ♥.♥
 Time flies by! It's now 1 and a half years since my dear Fritz went over the Rainbow Bridge in my arms. Although Gizmo gives lots of joy and love to my life, I still miss him so much! We have always been together, for nearly 12 years. He was the joy of life! We travelled many countries together and have been through many ups and downs. I am thankful for all the faith and love he shared - I will never forget you!Montag, 5. Januar 2009
♥ Vintage Rose Mitts ♥
 A new pair Vintage Rose Mitts is ready! Made of Lambswool again, bought at Horstia's outlet. The colour is more light yellow though; looks a little pale on this pic...love them! Felted them in the machine, so they are very soft, warm and cozy now. They look a little odd, but are very pretty on the arm. I love this very short wristwarmers! Personally I don't need a thumb hole as well, so these are just perfect.It is cold here now! It snows, too, though not as much as in the more austral parts of Germany. There's masses of snow! We expect very low temps in the entire country the nights to come. So we have to wait and see what will happen to us weatherwise in the near future. Winter is here with his full might, that's definite!
