It was lovely to see the ships go by so close. As a teenager I travelled on the canal myself. It is a long, but intresting tour. Although Gubben can walk only about 500 meters to 1 km we had a great time. Weather was lovely. And ever since it has been mostly sunny, although we had a storm mid of the week. We saw not only ships, but also the first swallows were flying over the canal arriving back from Africa for the summer. 2 weeks earlier then usual...
Weather was really great, though stormy around Wednesday - very stormy. The wind created lovely wave clouds high in the sky!
You know I record ancient places for Google Earth here in the area and some other places, too. On this meadow close to my home are the remains of a socalled Long Barrow. Not much left. Except an approximately 1.5 m high ridge on the field, about 40 meters long. The stones are all gone, used to build roads etc. in the 1800ties. It was hard to find and I had the roam the villages chronicles.

Dejlige billeder Bea.. :-)
