Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

~ Lumbago Me ~

Crazy Me! I suffer with a small Lumbago - outsh - and can hardly move, but I am still busy creating things. Will have a small exhibition with some other ladies on Nov. 9.
So some things must be done.
Wool Crazy Me! See what wild colours I got. Pure Lambswool and pure Alpaka!!!
And today I had this terrific little muschrooms in the mail - thanx to Barbara, who is absolutely top with crocheting! They will be sewed on my accessories; aren't they cute?!!
A very gloomy day today in Germany, just +2°C and snow is expected. So just the right day to stay in and be creative and enjoy life with hotwater-bottle on my spine....

Fall Impressions

Fall is always good for long walks, even when weather is not cooperative! Many things to find along the way and all the bright colours are a joy to look at!
The puppies are getting bigger and stronger over the year..... YYYYYY

When the year closes down the church is also a more commom place for concerts and exhibitions!
When times are gloomy all the romantic places in town are even more enchanting...here is the way up to our little castle!

~ Bronce Age ~

It is a wonder that these hills containing graves from about 1800 B.C. are still visible. some are still perfect and some are almost gone on the sandy ground. The forest near my home contains about 240 of those and many more are probably destroyed. What has happend here? I love to walk these enchanting paths through the forest, though not today, weather is extremely worse and I am hit with abdominal flue. So I rather stay at home and enjoy realxing hours in front of the TV, hoping to feel better again soon.....
...not only me who enjoys this fairytail forest path!

~.*.~ Fall Impressions ~.*.~

Here are some impressions from Fall in Northern Germany's lowlands - beautiful, eh!!??
Made last Sunday, while walking the dog through the entire city and around the lake.
Weather was quite gray, but no rain, only cool breeze that is always full of humidity and makes you shiver all over; feels much colder then it really is here in the land between two oceans.... enjoy!!!

Old workshop and chestnut alley...

~ A bit of Art ~

Today was a quiet Sunday with lots of time! Besides a 3 hours walk with the dog I did a bit of photo upgrading and art experiments; out came a cartoon pic of Hexe! Like it! ~ ~
As I am into northern wildlife, also Orcas came my way. I made a stencil cut of mother and child killer whale. The picture was started with a car varnish on canvas, then Orcas were painted on with black and white high glossy Acryl paint. The pic measures 50 x 50 cm. I made several in same manner, but with different animals. I still have several birds; cats and dolphins are the most popular and usually sell right from the wall. ßßßßß

* Noro Scarfelette *

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
As you may know Japanese Noro Yarn is one of my favourites! It is not necessary to use an extraordinary design, a simple one will do, as the beautiful wool speaks for itself. The past years I found out that these simple scarfelettes are popular, all are sold, so I made a new one, this time with a slight wave design, very simple though, but effective. These neckwarmers are surely cosy and warm and besides decorative, too. They can be placed on the head as well, so they look like a very special hat and protect your forehead against harsh winterwinds.
Enjoy your weekend!

Fall is all around

This is the first real Fall Leif Gizmo is experiencing; last year he was still too small...I now notice that he loves it warm! It is not to deny that his origin is from Iraq and Eastern Turkey where it is mostly warm, although he was born and raised here. All the dogs I had before were snow-fans and winterlovers and good eaters. Leif Gizmo is quite the opposite; have to get used to it, but it is ok and a new challenge. He is getting strong now and enjoys running and playing with other dogs... Y
Here are some relaxing sights of my hometown - enjoy!!!

--<-@ Rosebud Mitts

Z This pair of wristwarmers I call Rosebud Mitts because of their colour. They are made of 100% pure Alpaca yarn and the colours are just perfect. The embroidery has an enchanting shimmer, which is unfortunately not visible in this pic; I used several tiny beads as well as treegreen and natural pinewood beads. I have made them in some other colours in always different combinations, so that they remain unique...

~ Greenland Mitts ~ <°)))>< ~

As I am a fan of Arctic Regions, I dedicated these muffettees to them. Called them Greenland Mitts as they resemble somehow the coolness, freshness and lovely seagreen of the Arctic Ocean, also the glaciers do have this shimmering colour....and inbetween are rich fishing grounds! The small red fish give a nice complimentary effect to this lambswool product.
Mitts were knitted and afterwards washed hot, so that they felted. Warm and cozy are they now!

* New Flower Mitts *

These new wristwarmers with small white flowers are just ready! Aren't they cute? Made of lambswool in brownish red; fallcolloured...
I knitted them first, then had them in the washingmashine for felting. Lambswool is now tight and has somehow a frottee-effect. Very nice! I am pleased. Embroidery on the edge is shimmering - unfortunately not on this photo...

Sure I could do this! And here they are, made out of real Shetland Wool. They are soft and warm and I hope he will like them!

A Day to Remember

Today is an off day overhere! Germany celebrates the reunification of both parts!!! Y
I don't want to miss you see these pictures back from 1995, when Christo and Jean Claude wrapped the Reichstag in Berlin. We were there on July 1, a spontanous drive to Berlin which ended in a very perfect day. Accidently we even had the chance to see the two artists, what was great!

The entire building was wrapped in a heavy silvery cloth - what a sight to see! Enjoy!!!

! Plong ! Plong !

Chestnuts are ripe and fall - plong - plong - they are huge this year! Usually this means: strong winter to come....
The forest looks still fresh and green, but trees start to change colour..... Y
We will have an off-day tomorrow in Germany; a day to remember that it is ONE country again! Unfortunately weather is quite horrible with heavy storm and lots of rain...
hope you will enjoy the pix!?
