When I was small Melitta items were very popular and now - they are again or still are....they remind me of my grandmas and childhood and they are still sturdy, practical and in a way pretty, too... Y
I also still enjoy pressed glass articles, like this apple grater. Found it for only 50 cents on a fleamarket last weekend. Today is a free day in Germany; we celebrate 20 years of no more East and West Germany, but ONE country again.... 20 years already, can't believe it!
Not very festive weather though, we have full storm outside and it is rainy and dark!

Such object were going to disappear, but lately, at least here in Italy, are coming back again more and more.
They are a rare example of classics surviving to technology.
