Mousegray woolen dress, or better tunica, for a very young lady. Forget-me-not (Vergißmennicht) ribbon at edge with organza fringe - I am very pleased with the outcome... still necessary to wear woolen items here; it's still so bittercold, far too cold for the time of year. How is it with you? Can you enjoy Spring already? Have a great new week though...let the sun shine on you!
She was never the prettiest cat I have ever known but she became lovelier the older she got She had the loudest purr I have ever heard When I was typing she liked to rest in my back and was incredibly warm She was always there - for almost 20 years! I helped her to cross the Bridge on March 23, 2007... Thank you for almost two decades of pure love!
One of my grandsons did a great job again! He is high skilled and can play various instruments - next to many other things. Once again he won in his category at Jugend musiziert; 23 points is Very Good, he got 25 points. We drove to one of my fave places: Flensburg to attend the award ceremony - what a great weekend!
Do you remember the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan today two years ago? Some time ago I found this touching video and I just have to share it.... My parents always had strong bounds to Japan and have worked there often; so the entire family felt very involved in all what happend...
We are having strange weather conditions here, too! After Spring was here for several days we are back to deepest of winter now. I wonder how long this will remain?! It is really worse. It snowed all weekend, day and night and it still does. It was stormy, too. So we had to digg us out of the house. Not that I mind, but I am fed up with winter now that it actually should be Spring... seems winter lasts for ages already and this is getting a bit boring. Though I have to admit that all the snowbanks are quite beautiful!
Today it is already 10 months ago since Gubben had to resign to cancer - it is unbelievable how time flies! Still, I feel happy and I found my inner peace. Fortunately I like to be alone and this has never ever been a strain to me! I know this is hard to understand for many, but be sure, this does not mean that I supplanted him or forget about him... more the antipode! The dog and I love to roam the forests. It is very windy right now, so we took off deep into the woods... so the harsh cool breeze was above us, distracted by the giant trees! Nature gives peace...even though winter will come back over the weekend... and actually we wish winter would finally go home now... the photo above was taken in Berlin many years ago when times were light and easy...great weekend to all in Bloglandia!
Spring is still in the air today! Love it! Though for tomorrow we should get ready for a complete change into Winter again and a drop of temps of about 20 degrees... reason enough to present you some more crochet items for Spring, to cheer you up, just in case....... Finally I made some new boxes, too. All for sale.....
HexHex takes it easy and rather has a nap in her comfy bed on top of the wardrobe
What a lovely sight! This is what we met on the way to the forest: had to get the dog back into the car and let the Shepherdess and her over 200 sheep pass by - I love sheep.....and the wool they provide us with! Have a great weekend all in Bloglandia!
