Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

* Winter, Millets, Tajarutits and Sparrows *

Winter is definitely on its way; again we had frost last night and all was covered in white early this morning. Usually I feed the birds that come to my roofgarden year round, but I improve it now that it gets colder. I tried to take some photos of the sparrows hanging and picking in the millet, but they take off as soon as I get closer, so here's a pic of the sort of millet I feed and an artwise modified Sparrow. Further some matching green yarn from the Faroer Islands. You can find more colours in my blog www.northatlantic-wool.blogspot.com plus some more photos of the beautiful area! Enjoy!

Accidently I caught this snap of the first real snowfall on the Faroer Islands! Isn't it lovely?

And another wintergray single Tajarutit; quite a pretty piece of art to wear!!!

In need of some Wool for Felting? ✿

The dog needs a walkie, that's for sure. So I got up and hobbled around a bit in the bright sunshine we have today. It was frosty last night and that looked beautifil early this morning. Winter is definitely on it's way, but I also saw these flowers above, blooming like mad in the shrillest pink I have seen in a long time, directly by the pavement.

I have some more roving, unspun wool, that I don't need. Anybody intrested? It is gorgeous! Above is the softest and prettiest genuine Iceland wool you can think of. Natural silvergray colour. Felts real easy; I still have a few 100 grams left of it!

This is a pretty Merino from New Zealand with coloured cotton spots in it. Of this I also still have quite an amount!
Sunday is almost done - I am wishing you a lovely new week...be careful!

Danish Yarn, Colour Clementine!

Danish Yarn, colour Brandy!
I blogged these nice goldfish paintings and the matching yarn already in my German blog yesterday. But as I suppose this to be real lovely and adorable Fall colours, I am posting them here today, too! Hope you will enjoy it!
I am sick and I rather stay at home and rest....
wishing you all a pleasant weekend though!

10.10.10

Today is a special date: 10.10.10! Many weddings everywhere! I still have my winter bride cuffs for sale....
And I just finished a new pair; made of Icelandic Lett Lopi yarn in sage green heather. After knitting I washed them, they don't shrink, but become a sturdy soft and warm texture. I also embroidered roses. Can imagine this pair also on a bride in white in deepest winter. What about you?
We have fantastic weather right now and it is about to remain ....

❀ Danisch Wool and Hydrangeas ❀~

Today on the market I saw several of these beautiful wreaths, genuine Hortensia - lovely!!! Further here are two samples of the nice Danish Wool; 96 extraordinary colours make me jump! Although jumping is not what I can do right now; again I am having pain in my right foot. Quite irritating tonite, will see the doc tomorrow. After walking with the dog for about an hour I am down with pain.....this can't be normal. Both my feet are swollen every evening anyway....urgh, I am getting old.....

Just takes a few seconds to read this =^..^=

I just copied this for your attention!

OPERATION BAGHDAD PUPS WIN a $20,000 Prize! Bring home our soldier's dogs & cats.

Mimi's note: Taking in a homeless cat, kitten, dog or puppy when so far away from home is sometimes the only comfort that our brightest and best soldiers have at the end of what most be horrible days and nights. PLEASE vote for this organization now and tomorrow and the next day. Numerous animals have been brought to the USA and reunited with the first love of their life - the soldier who gave them refuge from the horrors of war.

We OWE it to our military to do each and everything possible in each and every way. Let's bring home those pets that gave them so much love when they were so far from American soil.

It is CRITICAL that we bring to the US as many dogs as possible due to the fact that the Muslim religion dictates that dogs are unclean and cannot be pets and that all black dogs should be killed. (I make NO determination about the Muslim religion or Islam good or bad. I am only sharing what I have learned and fact-checked.)

God bless you for helping!

During the "Friends of Naturalizer" contest running September 30th through October 3rd, Naturalizer will donate $20,000 to a charitable organization dedicated to one of these important causes - disaster relief, clean water and the safety and well-being of animals. It's up to YOU to decide who wins this sizable donation. Voting takes just two clicks!

Cast your vote for animals!

We need YOU to vote daily today through Sunday, October 3rd for SPCA International and Operation Baghdad Pups!
