Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

* Snow on a Sunday * * * *

Some bright felted flowers on a White Sunday! Hope you will enjoy them?

Again it snowed all day long here! But it is still nothing compared what we had in Norway! Above is a pic from happy days some years ago: hubby KH still healthy and Fritz still alive; they enjoyed the snow so much!!! This photo shows our yard in front of the house....can you believe it!!!?

We had some good amounts of snow here, too! The other side of the road is already very covered and my car got stuck....it seems I will never get out of my musher boots again; I have the feeling, I am wearing them for ages already....another hard week in front; wish us luck! And a good new week to all of you!

✂- On my List ✂-

Due to the recent circumstances I did not work on my To-Do-List! Since some time now I have the plan to start sewing again. Material is waiting for me, but I just can't make up my mind; too much other stuff in my head that keeps me away. Above items should long be turned into a tunika ✂.

Thank you, thank you for all your nice mails and lovely comments in regard of hard times we are going thru right now.... it really helps to survive....

This is what I would rather like to do now...... have a super weekend all out in Bloglandia!

~ Neglected ~

I know that I neglect blogging right now, but you know the reason is serious! But today there are some new pix of my pets for you, Hexe and Gizmo! This fatal illness Cancer gave us a large kick and the might how it is raging makes you definitely speachless... also winter is still upon us! It will not let go and I still have to wear my warm and waterproof felted Birgit-Bänder-Hat. Sometimes I like to decorate it with a flower or somehing, but not these days....

..::Confidence::..

Yes, indeed a little confidence in regard of hubby's illness! The doc we met at Cancer Center in Hamburg was really cool and he said that there is always hope, even in such an advanced stage. It is still hard for me to understand that such a sturdy, healthy looking and living man has such a zombie inside eating him up.... the doc made his case as exigence, so all was very easy and I am very thankful for the prompt meeting that took place. Tomorrow hubby will get a stent and Tuesday a port and Thursday another meeting and hopefully beginning of therapy........here is an oilpainting hubby made some time ago and which I really adore. He is an artist! And I hope he can be creative again soonest possible!

~ A Serious Day ~

Days are gloomy and serious indeed. Again light snowfall all day and the sky was darkgray. Hubby and I drove to Tumorcenter UCCH in Hamburg today. They are all specialists there and can start right off with therapies; the hospital he is in now acts far too slow; his cancer is growing fast...the entire situation is shattering.

For a short diversion inbetween I had a look at this beautiful wool: 60% Mohair, 40% New Wool and so beautiful pastells. ⊱╮⊱╮⊱╮

•~♥~• New Production •~♥~•

Life goes on and has to be managed in some way.... last night I could finish even two baby pants; only the ribbons are still missing. The pink one is a bamboo yarn and the green Egyptian cotton!

Yesterday was the first sunny day this year so far! The dog and I went for a long walk. He loves to stick his head into the snow and sniff underneath. The snow was glittering in the sun and it was all beautiful! I took some photos of our local ancient Bronce Age sites; see one barrow behind my doggy! Today I woke up to another dark day, thawing snow and even rain falling on the frozen streets; that means, it is icy and hard to walk and drive. Nothing I really fancy...

End of the Trail?

It's been some time since my last post! There's a reason for the silence, an unfortunately fatal reason! Some of you know that hubby and I split up, but due to special circumstances we always kept contact by meetings or phone. Over Christmas he developed a problem of swallowing food. Last Tuesday the incredible news were out that he has an oesopharguscarcinom (cancer in his gullet). A cunning cancer; problems occur only in a late stage. It spread already a bit and now we hope the upcoming radiochemo will help him to survive. Hard news and hard times are ahead! It is unbelieveable...

✿⊱╮ Cuff ✿⊱╮Wonders ✿⊱╮

It is my job to produce accessories, but for my own use I have to depend on others...no time for my own behalf....above cuffs are made out of a Turkish yarn,I got them from birgit-wolltrunken (she has a blog her, too)! They are small and don't collide with all the other things I wear in these blizzard days; I always use them right now. They are shrill, but cozy and cute! Thanx Birgit!! The other pair is from Ute, made of NORO sockyarn, arn't they just pretty? So many lovely details...I have some more wool out in my other blog www.northatlantic-wool.blogspot.com! It is specially designed, handtwisted yarn. Intrested? So, welcome... ⊱╮⊱╮⊱╮

3 Holy Kings and Bullfinches!

Today is the Day of the Three Holy Kings, the Glorifiers or whatever you might call them. Supposed to be the real Christmas Day in some cultures it is here definitely the last day of Christmas decos and songs. The few festive items I decorated my home with will be removed today and life will finally come back to normal routine! Here is some more new wool, I love the pine green one! And because I have about 3 or even 4 couples bullfinches at the feeder on my roofgarden I dedicate this rosered wool to them. The males breasts are just alike...what a pretty little bird!

Have a nice day!

** Snow and Lambswool **

Back to business! Back to wool; got some new real lovely Lambswool. It is sooooo soft and cozy - a real pleasure. Also got some of these quite large hay hearts! They smell like a fresh cut meadow... have a nice first week in 2010! Y
