Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people

❀–•–❀ Pink Phase ❀

I just found this beautiful small used nest on a forest path. What a lovely workpiece and very warm and cozy. It is very tight and strong although it looks so fragile and is very warm in the hand with inbuilt feathers, dog- or horsehair, moss and grass! Will keep it....
Pink Phase still continues here: so I started off another pair baby pants, using this pretty soft cotton yarn. Think I will have a green froggy on it when its done, so the pants will look like a water lilly with a resting frog king

♥ Incredible ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Not much time for blogging the passed few days and nothing good to blog about today -
Michael Jackson is dead!
Many years ago, I think it was sometime around 1988 I had a neighbour who became 50 and was a great fan. I tried to get tickets for a concert and succeeded! I wasn't the biggest fan, but it was ok for me to go to this concert with some friends and thit would surely be a special event. Accidently I came right in front of the stage only a few steps away from Michael.
The first part of the concert was incredibly perfect! I just could stand there, wasn't able to move and just enjoyed it! He gave the feeling, to probably everyone in the audience, that he was singing and dancing only for you.... I have never seen anything like this in a concert before - and there have been quite a few....
After a small break whilst his drummer was doing an also incredible solo, Michael Jackson came back on stage, obviously worrying if we, the audience, were really happy and enjoying us and if we were ok (in the meantime an enormous thunderstorm was raging upon us).... we were ALL ok and just happy. And then, only in a white t-shirt and black jeans, Michael made music and history as if there would be no tomorrow....
I was very enthusiastic when I was back home and that remained for some time; my ex-husband became even jeaulous....
Thank you for ALL you provided us with - Rest in Peace!!!

☁ ☼ Cute Bugs ☁ ☼

Soon I will get some buggy articles for my items!!! You know that I dislike crocheting, so these bugs will be made by a pal. And I will get some more of those ribbons as I finally plan to do a little more sewing in the future. Had them before and I was really pleased with them....aren't they cute?
We have lovely summer here in the North, whilst in the South and East are masses of rain and even floods, but for tomorrow we expect a break of summer.....

❀ White Rosebuds Hat ❀

I just finished this hat! I loooooove all these colours: used Regia Mosaik Color for the edge and it is really lovely. The fringe is in an absolute lovely green 100% Alpaca and the top is a beautiful dusty pink of Horstia Regent. Small white roses were embroidered to the top.
I am pleased

❃ My Berries ❃ Post 202 ❃

Berrytime here! Still enjoy my berrypicking and furtunately there will be more Blueberries to be ripe over the next weeks! So glad I found this special place here that reminds me so much of Norway!
And I found these cuties! Some are really good with crocheting, I am not. Maybe it's because I don't like it that much. I can do it, but not this pretty and tidy...will pick me some of those lovely Strawberries, too.....
I just noticed that this is already my 202nd post - wow, how time flys....

☀ The Longest Day ☀

It is the Longest Day in the Northern Hemisphere now! Nice somehow, but in a way I am not really a fan of summer.... I always look forward to summer, but finally when it is here I enjoy it a few hours and soon I am bored and lazy and exhausted and insects go on my nervs etc. :)
Quite crazy, eh? I rather sit in front of the fire with the cat purring on my lap and have a snowstorm raging outside.... anyway, the flowers and fruits of summer are great: see those big poppies I saw yesterday! They match so nicely with the white Camomille and some places they grow with shiny blue Cornflowers - what a sight! To honour their beauty I once made this Alpaca Cuffs Enjoy your Sunday

Foto Safari #15

Long time ago since I set a post for Petunia's Foto Safari, but here we go:
the rose is just for because I love roses and this one has a special colour...
Here is a photo I shot yesterday, wind was harsh and clouds heavy, so they are quite impressive over the row of Bronce Age Barrows near my homestead! Hope you will enjoy it and wish you all a Super Weekend!

° ° Blueberries ° °

While walking the dog I do discover many intresting places.... ever since I am back from living in Norway I miss Blueberries! As you may know the entire country of Norway seems to be covered with a thick carpet of wonderful blueberries that give you perfect, delicious and haelthy meals or desserts in summer! This is something I miss most... well, I know some places here where they grow, too, but the bushes are weak and hardly carry any fruits...
...but while roaming the area for ancient sites (we have many of around here) I strolled along a path leading through a beautiful moorish area and what did I find?!! Yes, Blueberries!!!! A large area full with ripe, big, strong and tasty berries and there are still millions to be ripe soon!!! I didn't believe my eyes - what a sight!
Besides, the entire area is very beautiful and special and I don't know why I never walked there before. Also pretty cotton grass is growing here, too, that also reminds me well of Norway! Next to this I found only a short way apart a small tight forest containing about 25 barrows or tumuli from Bronce Age; all still in very good shape and perfect condition. Very intresting; they are about 4000 years old. I have no idea how they could withstand so many years without falling apart and vanishing on this sandy and/or moorish ground....?!! Wonder what our ancestors did, how they lived and how they could build those barrows...

Here are some of the washed and ready to eat Blueberries! I had them with vanilla joghurt, but they are so delicious just with milk, too!!!

~ Treasures ~

This morning I drove to a friends woolshop that will close soon! It is almost sold out, but I still found some treasures for a very small amount .... ooooh, glad! Catsoft wool ö
After this fine treasure hunt the dog needed a walk and off we drove to the lime pit! Although it is very close to my home, I have never been there. It was though recommended to me and it is oh so beautiful!!!!

Clay and anhydrite in former days and now it is a special landmark; already a settlement about 12.000 years ago it was now very quiet, except for the frogs! We didn't meet any other folks and it was a peaceful, relaxing athmosphere. Weather was fine again, though it is still very stormy...
All of you outthere: have a beautiful weekend!!! ö

Apocalypse and Roses ❀

Weather was announced to be quite like an Apocalypse today - and so it was indeed! Time to continue with embroidery to those new knitted and felted wristwarmers! It was almost impossible to be outside...
This is a photo from our yesterday afternoon walk; suddenly weather was quite fine and we hurried to the dog's ground in the forest, having lots of fun with others, knowing that today weather would keep us in most of the day. Well, sure made a walk today, but came home completely soaked. It is quite a storm raging outside with enormous masses of rain....
Some roses from the market....
and see how dark it was here all day! Webcam shows the ferry just before 2 in the afternoon, ready to leave for Oslo!

‹(•¿•)› Crisis !‹(•¿•)›

Regia Mosaik Color! A perfect wool to cope with our Sheep's Cold Snap!!!

Ise-Markt Hamburg, 1 kilometer long between two Underground-stations (as you can trace the trains do not go underground, but high on a bridge here...). Hamburg's most famous market, but not much going on. Many years I had a booth here myself! This market is not only for fruits, flowers and vegetables, but also for arts and crafts... financial crises is not passing by here as well....
Handmade soap!!!! .... and a little video! Weather was nasty and cold and rainy, quite a little gray today.

Dull Sunday ....

A dull Sunday with cool and dark and wet weather is almost done! A little knitting was made and the dog got some walks, otherwise real dull...... still I was fortunate: some time ago I was thinking about how it would be not to sew everything necessary by hand but with a machine!
Off I went thru the offers at Ebay and one machine caught my eye and - I just won it for an incredible price and the best is that it is only a very short way from me - how is that all!!! Happy-end for me today!!! Great!!! Have to admit though that I never used an electric sewing machine so far, only those old Singer with a mechanic accelerator. Ugh, I am curious how I will get along with it. It's also decades since I last time used a sewing machine at all... Y

♥ Fritz ♥

Fritz 9.1.1996 - 4.6.2007 Vil aldri glemme deg Thank you for your Love
We were able to spend over 11 years every day together, we saw many countries together, he joined me during my years doing field work and was always by my side thru good and bad days! He became sick and old with a sepsis and maybe a cancer and decided to cross Rainbow Bridge in my arms exactly at noon of the 4th of June, 2007, by his own will. It was a peaceful and easy journey, he just closed his amber eyes and sighed Y

Many years ago when he was still a puppy..... Y

~ New Art Works ~

Today I would like to show off some new works of artist K.H. Petersen, who has his atelier here in my home! He is master scholar of Prof. Ekkehard Thieme at the University of Kiel.
He also used to have a second atelier in Norway and had many exhibitions there, such in Oslo, Arendal, Fyresdal and Treungen. Further exhibitions in Berlin, in England and many other places......he was born 1950.
These new works are two-dimensonal and of paper board! Very expressive..... enjoy!

Have a look at his sites: www.petersen-avantgarde.blogspot.com! From this side you can proceed to a farther blogs via his profile.
